Job Title: Principal Air Quality Specialist
Location: Denver , CO
Full/Part Time: Full-Time

Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000
Responsibilities
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for obtaining air emission permits and ensuring compliance with permit conditions and other applicable regulatory requirements for the company's natural gas production and processing facilities in Colorado . This position will report to the Regional EHS Manager and work closely with other EHS staff, field operations staff and consultants to ensure compliance with federal, state and local air quality regulations. This position will involve planning to anticipate future permitting needs and managing monitoring, testing, inspection, and reporting programs to satisfy compliance obligations. This position requires occasional travel to field facilities to support growing operations in western Colorado.
Role: Manage Air Quality Permitting and Compliance
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Anticipate future permit needs, establish permitting strategies and direct and review the preparation of permit applications.
- Monitor, analyze and determine the applicability of new regulations and changes to existing regulations related to air quality
- Plan, scope and manage programs necessary to fulfill compliance requirements for permitting, monitoring, testing, inspections and reporting
- Evaluate the feasibility of emission control technologies and work with operations to support the design, construction, and operation of emission controls
- Represent the company in communications with regulatory agency personnel
- Track and report performance metrics and communicate significant issues to management
- Prepare for and respond to air emission-related incidents
- Support the development and implementation of the company's EHS management system
- Manage the air quality practice and supervise and mentor air quality specialists
- Respond to inquiries, reach out to communities, educate interested stakeholders, and maintain the awareness of employees and contractors of critical environmental issues and our efforts to mitigate our impacts and risks
- Participate in industry associations, peer groups and other organizations to share and learn best practices, build relationships and promote the company's interests.

Qualifications
Minimum of seven years experience specific to air quality permitting and regulatory compliance. A bachelor's degree in a science or engineering is essential and a master's degree is preferred. Previous experience with the petroleum industry at an operating facility is a plus. Extensive knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations (Title V, MACT, PSD, PSM/RMP, etc.) is mandatory. Experience with air emission estimation models, stack and portable testing protocols, and emission control technologies is highly desired. Proficient use of PC-based applications (MS Word, Excel, Access) is required.
This position requires a motivated, hard-working team player with the ability to identify needs, manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities, and effectively work with staff, operations, and agencies to achieve the desired results with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Possession of a valid Colorado driver's license with no serious violations is mandatory.
